It all begins with an idea.

A ‘tapestry’ by definition is a woven wall hanging. But the term ‘tapestry’ also describes something which is layered and complex, made up of lots of different parts. Here I have used vintage fabrics and embellished trims, some in a state of disrepair and unravelling, things that possess a patina, that embody history - as a metaphor for life. Just as a tapestry is made up of many threads, each with its own color and texture, life is composed of various experiences, relationships, and events which are interconnected and contribute to the whole.
